Figure 1
Dan Degeer - Lead Teaching Elder

Dan joined the staff of WBC in August 2009. As president of Kawartha Lakes Bible College he has spent most of his adult life in biblical education equipping and coaching young people in their pursuit to be passionate followers of Jesus. He enjoys being surrounded by the four special “girls” of his life including his wife Lori, daughters Heather-Lynn, Jillayne and Lydia. When not administrating, or teaching or preparing for preaching, the opportunity to escape to the country cabin to enjoy everything outdoors is a welcome retreat.

Figure 1
David Aldom

David has been on the leadership team at Westmount since February, 2002, and does some of the preaching. He retired from teaching secondary school mathematics and computer science in June 1999. He and his wife Sandy moved to Peterborough from Orillia in June, 2000 to be involved at Kawartha Lakes Bible College - David as administrator, Sandy as librarian. Sandy and David have three grown children, and 7 grandchildren. A highlight of their year is summer at their cabin on a family island, south of North Bay, reconnecting with a large extended family.

Figure 1
Hugh Bolton
For the past twelve years, Hugh and his wife Kim have been involved in the life of Westmount. During that time they have immensely enjoyed the privilege of serving alongside dear friends and seeing their children grow in the faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ. A tool and die maker by trade, Hugh is handy in many ways- able to fix things that are broken, bearing wisdom and insight to share, and striving to direct the glory to God. Hugh can often be found enjoying time with his family, tinkering in the basement, outdoor activities, or buried in a good book (or THE good book).

Malcolm Hunt - Director of Worship

Malcolm and his family have been active at Westmount for the past 18 years. Holding a strong conviction that all believers are “saved to serve” Malcolm and his wife, Cathy have fulfilled various youth and worship leadership capacities at Westmount – often “growing up” in ministry with their four children. Malcolm continues to try to find that right balance between a heart for relevant ministry, a challenging career as a senior administrator for the City of Peterborough, and a passion to create sawdust in his workshop.
